70 King

Rebranding a city’s once iconic landmark hotel into a mixed use luxury apartment.

Hotel Genosha, Oshawa’s once prestigious luxury hotel built in 1929, had since fallen into disrepair. Restored to its former glory, the historic landmark was converted into 86 luxury apartment units with commercial space—becoming known as 70 King. Inspired by the hotel’s unique exterior shape and rich history, the new identity takes on an urban energy and timeless aesthetic that is relevant for today.
